This irrigation system was completely

out of code and installed in one of the

worst locations possible — the

crawlspace under the house. The

previous homeowner placed the

vacuum breaker directly beneath the

bedroom, creating a serious risk of

flooding. The system also caused loud

water-hammer noises every time it

turned on.

We discovered three different sets of

sprinkler wire tied to a single timer,

and nothing was installed correctly or

safely. The entire setup was unusable.

We removed everything from the

basement, hauled it out, and rebuilt

the entire irrigation system from

scratch using all new, high-quality

parts. After installing the new system,

we identified the correct wire bundle

and added a new timer. No more

water hammer, no more mess.

We nicknamed this job “The Merry-

Go-Round System” because the

pipes and wires were wrapped and

routed in circles just like a merry-go-

round — it truly went everywhere

except where it should have gone.

Once the new system was running, we

replaced every sprinkler head and

adjusted each zone to ensure the

lawn received even, proper coverage.
