When a system is not winterized it can crack and break over the winter. Unfortunately this is not realized till spring during the busy season of everyone turning their system on. Many things can freeze and break. The most expensive is usually the pipes; this is because we have to locate the leak, dig the leak up, repair the leak, test the repair, then re bury it.
