Sprinkler System
Start Up &
Winterizing.
Priddy Landscaping and Irrigation is
dedicated to the essential tasks of
sprinkler system startup and
winterization.
While these critical maintenance
procedures are performed at different
times of the year—typically spring
activation and fall shutdown—both
are vital for maintaining a well-
functioning, long-lasting system.
Proper seasonal care is the best
defense against damage caused by
freezing temperatures.
Skipping winterization often leads to
broken pipes, burst valves, and
cracked sprinkler heads. These
repairs can be expensive and
inconvenient to fix in the spring,
especially when all local irrigation
services are busy responding to
widespread seasonal damage.
Protecting your investment now with
professional winterization saves you
hassle and money later.
Spring Start up.
Spring is consistently my favorite
season of the year.
We are currently out in San Juan
County, NM, working to get your
systems running from our fully stocked
van.
Start-ups are crucial because they
allow us to assess how the systems
perform after a severe winter season.
We will come out to turn on the water
and check for leaks.
Following that, we will inspect all
components of the system to confirm
that everything is functioning
correctly. We will also ensure that
the sprinklers are operational and
optimized for your lawn.
This service is different from our
irrigation maintenance program, as
start up is a one-time service. If you
are interested in monthly
maintenance, please be sure to
Winterizing
Winterizing? What does this entail?
It is sometimes referred to as blowing
out the system.
Regardless of the terminology used,
this is an essential procedure for your
sprinkler and drip system. See our
blog article for a detailed description.
During this service, we will arrive, turn
off the water, and drain the system.
Subsequently, we will introduce air into
the system to expel the lines and
eliminate any residual water.
This step is vital to prevent pipes from
freezing and cracking during the
winter months. Additionally, we will
note any issues we observe that can
be addressed in the spring and will
inform you so that we can schedule
repairs during the spring startup. See
our video section to see winterizing in
action.
